NAELA Webinar/Lunch and Learn: Qualified Disability Trusts Under the New Tax Law – September 14

On September 14, I’ll present a webinar for the National Academy of Elder Law attorneys on the new planning opportunities available through Qualified Disability Trusts (QDisT) as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.  The webinar is from 1:00 – 2:00 PM EST and is free to NAELA members.  Non-members are welcome to participate for a $99 fee.

The webinar draws from my article, “A Clear Winner in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017: Qualified Disability Trusts,” which was published in NAELA News Online, May 2018.

To register for the webinar, visit NAELA’s online registration here.

If you have questions about QDisTs or related topics, please feel free to contact me at sjs@sjslawpc.com. This is a new and complex planning opportunity, and I welcome your comments and observations.

If you are an elder lawyer and not a member of NAELA, visit the website to learn more about this important organization. I have been involved with NAELA for many years and find it to be a valuable resource for my career, as well as a proven advocate for the elderly. NAELA looks out for seniors and offers excellent educational and networking for members. NAELA has two national meetings– the Summit, taking place this November in Chicago and the Annual Meeting, held in the spring.
