Referrals from Attorneys and Other Professionals

The Law Office of Stephen J. Silverberg receives a large number of referrals from many different sources, including other attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, family office managers, bankers, social workers and nursing homes, among others. We appreciate the confidence and trust that they place in us.

When you refer a client to us, you can be assured that your client will be treated with the highest degree of professionalism and care. Our practice is solely focused on Elder Law and estates and trusts law and we take great pride in the quality of representation that we provide.

Attorneys refer clients to us in different scenarios, including:

When the firm has no Elder Law experience. This is an area of the law where highly detailed laws, rules and regulations governing benefits for the elderly and special needs population changes frequently. It is not a simple practice area that can be easily picked up.

Also, because of our many years in Elder Law, we are known and respected by staff and decision makers at area agencies, including local nursing homes and home care agencies. This is extremely helpful for the patient and the family.

Your firm’s fee structure and corporate culture may not be suited to represent the elderly client or special needs member of a family. This firm was founded in large part because Stephen J. Silverberg believes that Elder Law clients deserve a different approach than they might receive in, for instance, a commercial litigation firm. We offer a more personal and caring practice and environment.

You may wish to have us represent your client in Elder Law, while you continue to work with your client in other areas. We work well with others, and are pleased to work in a collaborative and collegial fashion.

Your practice is Medical Malpractice or Personal Injury and circumstances have led to a situation where your client needs representation in Elder Law. We have a great deal of experience in protecting client benefits while preserving compensation and damages recovered in lawsuits.

We work with matrimonial attorneys. In instances where divorce or child support disputes involve the care of a developmentally disabled adult child, our knowledge of trusts is extremely valuable.

Your clients or their parents are residents of New York State or Florida. We are admitted to practice in both states and welcome referrals for matters in either New York or Florida.

We are confident that whatever your client’s legal situation, we will be able to assist them with anything pertaining to Estates and Trust Law, Elder Law and Special Needs. If you have any questions, kindly contact the office and ask to speak with Stephen J. Silverberg, Esq.

We look forward to speaking with you.
